Facilities
All
camp facilities have been designed to give campers a truly authentic
New Zealand outdoors camping experience.
The
facilities will promote children's awareness and understanding
of New Zealand's nature.

Capacity
Tira
Ora Lodge is currently able to cater for a maximum of 25 people.
New
accomodation facilities are being planned to enable us to cater
for a maximum of 50 people in the near future.
Accomodation
Children
are accomodated in tents to provide the authentic New Zealand
camping experience. Bedrolls are provided, and children must bring
their
own sleeping bags. Tents sleep a total of 25 people.

There
are two cabins that contain bunk beds, showers, sinks and toilets
in each. 8 people can be accomodated in each cabin.

A tepee, 6 metres in height, is an adventurous accomodation option.
The tepee is located 10 minutes walk into the bush and has priceless
scenery views of the ocean.
Kitchen
Children
are catered for in a sheltered outside camp kitchen. Campers
can
eat their breakfast, lunch or dinner while taking in the peaceful
scenery
of the native bush and ocean.

Lodge
The
historic lodge, built in 1906, is available for organised activities
such as
music lessons, use of the recording studio and movies. The lodge
also has a
kitchen facility that is used for larger groups.
